reduced by $708,702.

This is a now load to provide for the staff necessary to administer the proposed new Inland Revenue (Earnings and Profits) Ordinance. The final establishment has not yet been definitely settled and the question whether there should be a post of Deputy Commissioner or two of Assistant Commissioner is still under consideration. Further subordinate staff will probably be required and it may be necessary to arrange for the temporary secondment of an experienced officer from another Colony. To moet such contingencies a sub-head for Temporary Staff for $60,000 has been included.
